Pathways cross the mountains and hills of Snowdonia.
Red jackets against the sky and rocks.
Following the footsteps of many before them.
These Welsh paths,
and the greys of the rocks,
greens of the grass,
and reds of the jackets
inspired me to create three little fabric works.
Or "inchies"
Well, they're 1.5 inch to be honest.
Little thread paths and red footprinty threads crossing their fabric landscapes.

This is how far I got with the embroidery of my little gelli prints booklet
that I showed in the previous post.
I guess it will have to wait till after my summer holiday.

Update:
Today I found a wonderful new linkup on the beautiful blog A Spirit of Simplicity.
So today I'm linking this post also to
Tuesday Afternoon
Because Tuesday was the day that was happily stitching away.
Peacefully making little pathways with thread on little fabric landscapes.
Wishing you a beautiful summer
and see you again somewhere in August probably!

These musings on a physical journey are fascinating as well as beautiful. I am delighted by them. The red thread is particularly striking.
